How long have you been in your industry? Two years
Why did you choose your industry? At Mindfully Crafted Solutions (MCS), we help leaders and teams reach their full potential. Our founder loved creating light bulb moments while teaching people to fly military aircraft. After leaving the military, she found coaching as a way to keep empowering others. We expanded into organizational development because leadership isn’t just about individuals—it’s about the system. By analyzing data and perspectives, we help leaders make informed, strategic decisions for lasting success.
Who are your typical clients? We work with startup founders & tech executives who are scaling their businesses and need to align teams, refine leadership, and build a strong culture. We also support companies in this industry who work with Defense, helping them understand their environment and how those forces impact how they need to do business.
What do you like best about being in this industry?I appreciate the duality it requires—the ability to combine sharp analytical precision with a deep human connection. Just as I used to navigate high-stakes military operations with focus and strategy, I can now help leaders tackle their toughest challenges with that clarity. At the same time, I love creating light bulb moments, empowering others to grow, adapt, and lead with confidence AND heart.
What are common problems you see?A common challenge in this industry is that leaders often don’t call us until they really need us—when their teams are struggling, communication is breaking down, or scaling feels chaotic. Yet, building for culture early makes transformation smoother. Many leaders focus on strategy and operations but underestimate the power of intentionally building trust, and team cohesion.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Find a good fit with whomever you hire to do coaching or organization development work. The work alone creates friction, so if your core belief systems are not aligned, this will create additional friction and make the work more difficult.
When is your busy season?Typically, at the start of the year. With the current political and economic environment, things are a little slower than normal (and I hear this is common for many small businesses across industries right now.
What keeps you up at night?Knowing that many leaders wait too long to invest in their teams and culture—only reaching out when misalignment or mistrust have already taken hold. I wish there was a way to show more leaders the relationship between organization development and the bottom line.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Storytelling and targeted content on LinkedIn and my website, speaking engagements, and referrals from my incredible clients.
How involved are you in the community?Volunteering with the Severn Leadership Group, a non-profit that envisions a better world through virtuous leadership.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity? The COMMIT Foundation
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Build your network. This industry is full of smart, thoughtful people who want to help you succeed.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Pilates, drawing, camping with my daughter.
